MONDAY DROP-IN
This project provides sessions where people are free and welcome to talk to us about the issues they have and we  provide space where they can be listened to with a non-judgmental approach.

It is also an opportunity for them to socialise and make friends and it has proved to be a great way of  reducing  loneliness and isolation and it has proved very effective in enhancing community cohesion. Clients also participate in physical exercise classes which is led by a qualified tutor from the NHS Greenwich

FEEL GOOD FRIDAYS
Listening Ears in partnership with the NHS Greenwich, has established a community health and wellbeing project on the Flowers Estate in Abbeywood.  Tagged  Feel Good Fridays, it features various activities that are run by Listening Ears volunteers in conjunction with local residents and other service providers including NHS Greenwich, Age Concern, and Volunteer Centre Greenwich.

It features a range of activities designed to increase community cohesion and reduce isolation. These include drop in sessions, weekly physical activity sessions, monthly pamper days.

We have also delivered training sessions on Understanding Health Improvement in conjunction with the Royal Society of Public Health.  This training was established in response to community need identified through survey of local residents and builds on Listening Ears successful model. We hope to run this training periodically as and when there are enough participants for a training group.

We will also provide practical helping hand in little areas of life where they need support to enhance their quality of life and add value to their existence.
