Listening Ears is delighted to be recognised as a bonafide UK Charity by the Charities Commission. This is the first of many exciting things to come in 2012.

Annual Christmas Festivities
Listening Ears in our usual fashion, held an annual Christmas party to celebrate 2011 and welcome 2012. The event was held at the Bostall Gardens Centre and included performances and an interactive Q&A session from Rosebud, its department for Teenagers and Young People.

FREE Zumba Dance Classes
In pursuance of our commitment to support members of our community to achieve improved health and total wellbeing, we are delighted to present Zumba Dance Classes. The dance sessions are an interesting way to keep fit, achieve and maintain a healthy weight while having fun at the same time. The sessions are on Fridays.
The first session at 4.30pm for teenagers and the second session for Adults is at 6.30pm
Participation is free but Registration is mandatory.

Listening Ears expands into Newham: Our Steps to Living' workshop on Healthy Eating, Nutrition and Weight Management is now running in the London Borough of Newham and is open to all workers and residents in the area. Steps to Living is a health and total well being team programme. UPDATE: This programme is now concluded, but we hope to run another series as soon as we secure funding to do so. To take part in future sessions, you can send us an email to have your name on the waiting list.

Listening Ears is shortlisted as Finalist in the Partnership Achievement Category at the London Health Commission Award 2010. This is in recognition of our project - 'Feel Good Fridays' which we run in partnership with NHS Greenwich.
April 2010
Our second drop in centre launches on Friday 9th April. The new centre opens every Friday. Labelled Feel Good Fridays, it is a community health and well being project run in partnership with NHS Greenwich. Age Concern, Active For Health and Volunteer Center Greenwich also provide free services at the centre. The centre is open to residents of Flowers estate and it's surroundings. Qualified health trainers are also present to give one-to-one sessions and health checks and support for health behaviour changes. Treat yourself to an afternoon session of FREE relexology, massage, manicure and more on every first Friday of the month.
